Signs Express (Ayrshire) created a variety of signage for GSK, the largest of which being an exterior logo measuring 4.6m x 4m. This was created with a digitally printed flex face skin and is fully illuminated as well as halo lit with LEDs. In addition to this main sign, the team also created a smaller logo sign made of shaped aluminium sign trays manufactured into the shape of the GSK logo. This smaller sign was 1.5m x 1.3m in dimension with a fret cut face, opal acrylic and applied vinyl printed graphics with LED illuminations to create a striking and sophisticated finish. However, the creation of these signs was not the hardest part of the job; Signs Express (Ayrshire) also installed the signage 20m high on the side of the GSK building. The scale of the signage and the impracticality of installing it at that height meant that the team had to divide the job into sections and methodically handle the installation step-by-step.
