Vehicle Graphics for Mogabout

Mogabout, who are based on the Isle of Arran offer visitors and residents the chance to explore the island from the comfort of their unique 4 x 4 Mercedes Unimog 16 seater vehicle. The initial meeting was held at the client's premises to allow the Glasgow sign makers to conduct a full survey of the vehicle. As this is a unique vehicle, details were passed to the design department at the centre to develop a comprehensive outline to scale that allowed accuracy at the point of manufacture and installation. The project required careful selection of materials as the vehicle would be encountering a variety of testing environments; the experienced team therefore advised the use of multi-layer premium grade vinyl to achieve a durable and aesthetically pleasing result. As this vehicle had been converted to transport passengers it also required extensive internal and external health and safety signage which Signs Express (Glasgow) advised on and organised for the client to ensure it passed the Department of Transport's Passenger Service Vehicle category. The work was completed within the Glasgow centre's purpose built vehicle bay, ensuring accurate and environmentally controlled installation. The graphics gained unexpected advertising on their first day on the Isle of Arran due to an emergency caused by high levels of snow fall. A number of people were cut off in remote areas of the island due to a collapse of power, the Unimog came to the rescue, ferrying supplies to the stranded residents. This, along with other planned marketing activities has resulted in success that has exceeded the client's expectations. Signs Express (Glasgow) has an extensive production centre which was established in May 1995. Due to the dedication of all members of the team the business has expanded and now operates from a 6,000ft custom built unit. The team covers areas in and around Glasgow such as East Kilbride, Motherwell, Paisley, Clydebank and Dumbarton.
