Signs Express (Northampton) has collected its second national award this year, after winning the Signs Express Best Vehicle Graphic 2015 trophy in November and winning a similar award from the British Signs and Graphics Association (BSGA) in October.
The award recognises the outstanding Nissan Le Mans vehicle wrap that the centre did in the Manchester City FC branding. Signs Express (Northampton), took a call from Nissan requesting their services to transform the race car into a fitting centrepiece for a City v West Bromwich Albion game later that same week. In just three days Mark and his highly skilled team of vehicle wrappers gave the car a completely new look, giving the red racer a sky blue body and completing the make-over with Manchester City branding. The whole job was only unveiled when the car was collected and delivered to the club's Etihad Stadium in Manchester in time for the game. The entire wrapping job took Signs Express (Northampton) over 30 hours to complete, with the vinyl perfectly matched to Manchester City's iconic sky blue colour shirts. This project has been in the news a lot lately, as Mark Meadowcroft, owner of Signs Express (Northampton) also won an award for the project in October from the BSGA. The centre won both of these awards despite tough competition both times. Most recently, at the Signs Express convention, the project was up against work done by Signs Express (Lancaster) and Signs Express (Warrington). Signs Express (Lancaster) was named as a finalist because of their work with coffee merchant, John Farrer & Co. The team at Lancaster designed, manufactured and installed a custom, full-colour printed ¾ wrap for a Ford Transit. The eye-catching design was of the Langdale Pikes in Cumbria, where Farrers deliver their coffee – a fact not lost on the company's customers across Cumbria who have really taken to the bespoke design. Signs Express (Warrington) also scooped a finalist position with a visually stunning wrap for a Lamborghini Aventador which was entered in the Cannonball Run. After numerous potential designs and ideas the client finally decided on the simple, yet sensational, 'Tron' effect. Every panel and angle on the car was accentuated with black lines to create the simple effect shown on the images. The client was so pleased with the result he has left the graphics on the car after the event. All of these jobs created visually stunning results and are an excellent mobile advertising solution. Mark Meadowcroft commented, 'All of my team worked really hard on this project and I am immensely proud of them. The finish that they achieve on every vehicle graphic they create and install is excellent and even though this complex project was very fiddly, the team excelled themselves.' Signs Express is an expert in its field and all of its centres across the UK and Ireland pride themselves not only on their stunning vehicle graphics, but also on a whole host of signage solutions. They have the experience and the skilled personnel to make any project a success, no matter its size or scale.
