Leonardo da Vinci exhibition comes to Sheffield 2019
A long-standing customer, Millennium Gallery, called upon Signs Express (Sheffield) to add the finishing touches to their new Leonardo da Vinci exhibition using their extensive range of signs and graphics.
Twelve remarkable drawings by Leonardo da Vinci from the Royal Collection are on display at the Millennium Gallery as part of a major nationwide exhibition marking the 500th anniversary of the artist’s death. Leonardo da Vinci: A Life in Drawing will see some of the Renaissance master's greatest drawings shown in a series of simultaneous exhibitions taking place in twelve cities across the UK. Signs Express (Sheffield) were very pleased to be asked to be a part of the exhibition by printing and installing all of the exhibition signage. Working to tight deadlines, Signs Express (Sheffield) printed and installed all signage for the exhibition – from entrance window graphics, printed matt laminated wall cut graphics, floor prints right down to the small name cards for the priceless artifacts exhibit stands. The main print “Anatominal Study of the muscles of the side of the Torso” was at a height of 3.3M *2.4M printed onto “Super Hi-Tak” with a matt laminate. It's all about creating an atmosphere for visitors and so every detail counts. Kirstie Hamilton, Head of Exhibitions & Displays, Museums Sheffield, said, "We’re delighted to be taking part in this nationwide celebration of a true visionary. Drawing and innovation are cornerstones of the collections we care for in Sheffield and we’re thrilled to be working with Royal Collection Trust to show these spectacular works at the Millennium Gallery." Steve, Carol and their experienced team will always go that extra mile to make sure every small detail is perfect and works to compliment the displays.
