Car Park Signage project for Epping Forest District Council
As a regular supplier of multiple departments within Epping Forest District Council, Signs Express (Harlow) were tasked with producing a costed plan for the council to replace the existing tariff boards across the borough's 20 car parks.
In keeping with the Council policy of supporting local traders, new pay and display parking tariff structures were to be introduced to encourage local residents to use neighbourhood shops and restaurants, discouraging all day parking and freeing up availability for short stay visits.
The project involved replacing the existing 43 signs and posts with laminated vinyl faced aluminium tariff boards mounted on aluminium posts together with "Pay Here" information signs, maintaining consistency wherever the signs are sited.
As the new charges had to be revealed at the same time, multiple installation crews removed the existing signs, replacing with new posts and temporarily replacing the old tariff boards. This took place over a 6-day period in the council car parks of Epping, Loughton, Buckhurst Hill, Waltham Abbey and Ongar.
New tariff boards detailing the new fee structure were then installed out of hours, within a 6-hour window throughout the district. Signs Express (Harlow) regularly work with councils in Essex and East Hertfordshire providing a fully integrated signs and graphics service, from design through to supply and installation.
