The famous dragon, GoGoHoratio, has a permanent new home within Signs Express (Norwich) this week after being auctioned off for charity following its high profile placement on Bishopsgate, Norwich as part of an exciting trail in the city.
The GoGoDragons came to the streets in the City of Norwich during the summer starting June 21st and running until September 5th, 84 fabulous hand painted dragons decorated the streets and a charity trail was launched to spot all of them, competitions were held and the money raised from sponsorship and the selling of merchandise went to the children's charity, Break. Following the closure of the interactive trail the GoGoDragons were auctioned off and the monies raised went to the worthy charity, Break. A poll was held to vote for your favourite GoGo Dragon and 'GoGoHoratio,' which was sponsored by Signs Express (Norwich) and the artist was Ryan Newell, came in at a triumphant third, pipped to the post by GoGoDragonFly who came 1st and IndyGoGo500 took 2nd place. GoGoHoratio was sponsored by Signs Express (Norwich), and Ken Venables, owner of the Norwich branch put his bid in to secure the new home for Horatio at their premises on Kingsway in Norwich. A fantastic amount was raised from the auction which took place on October 1st, 82 of the dragons were snapped up, the grand total raised a staggering £369,500, which is a fabulous outcome for the charity Break to be able to support even more children, young people and families in need.
