Signs Express York were pleased to be awarded the signage contract on a project which has seen the transformation of an old secondary school in York to become one of York’s most impressive community hubs.
The Centre @ Burnholme College is a new facility which encompasses a library, café, nursery, Tang Hall SMART, Activity Bases services for adults living with a learning disability as well as York Community Church. Signs Express York undertook work on the signage scheme for the new development which included directory and wayfinding signage, room identification signage, window graphics, stainless steel effect cut letters, internal displays and completed the project with an impressive double sided shaped projecting sign which was powder coated and mounted on a bespoke steel frame which has been erected at the entrance to the building. ‘The project was an exciting challenge for us,’ said Ian Dawson. ‘We designed, manufactured and installed the signage, working closely with the construction company and structural engineers as we designed and specified the bespoke framework for the external projecting sign. I am very proud of the Signs Express York team who relished the challenge and completed the work to a fantastic standard which really shows off the building to it’s best. It was a pleasure to work with the Council and construction contractors on the project and we are all pleased to see the space being put to such good use.’ For more information about how Signs Express (York) can assist you with any signage or graphics project from conception, design, manufacture and installation email york@signs-express.co.uk or call 01904 431343 for more information.
