The pair are to take part in the Cotswold Way Mighty Hike for MacMillan on Saturday 23 July where they will be walking 26 miles to raise money and awareness for MacMillan and the care and support they provide. It's estimated to take between 8 and 12 hours to complete and there will be refreshments provided throughout the day by MacMillan along with a hearty hot meal at the end to help restore energy levels. MacMillan also make sure there are medics and guides on hand at all times to provide information and support should it be required by any of the walkers. Lorraine commented; 'We're huge supporters of MacMillan and the research that they do and wanted to do something in order to demonstrate this. This organised walk seemed like the perfect opportunity, to not only get outside and explore some breath-taking countryside, but also raise money for such a good cause whilst challenging ourselves! Phil and I have been training on the Malvern Hills, and have covered 8 miles so far! We don't underestimate the distance we will be covering in just one day, but we wanted a difficult challenge and will support each other on the day.'
