With improvements to both the interior and exterior, the refurbishment is designed to bring back the best of the 1960s design, while adding new elements to create a vibrant public space. Iconic features that were part of the original design are being recreated, such as the timber bus bay dividers and interior lighting. Our role in the improvements is to update all signs to reflect the new uses of the building while keeping with the original style. We have produced and installed a wide range of signage for this project such as: illuminated lightboxes, illuminated bus bay numbers, car park signage, stand markers and various health and safety signs. The redevelopment of the bus station, coach park, multi-storey car park and creation of a new Youth Zone are aimed to be completed in 2019 and will play a key role in helping to enable the wider regeneration and development of Preston City Centre.
