The mentoring project was set up to support students access knowledge and experience of Local Business Owners in developing their long-term future educational and career plans. After several mentoring sessions with four students, Ian used his network of contacts at Signs Express Oxford in the local area to assist with two work placements helped with CV writing by advising the student to focus on key skills and strengths employers look for in candidates and supported a student write a personal statement for their University application.
