St Leonard's Hospice, York

St Leonard’s Hospice is an independent charity providing specialist palliative care and support for the people of York and surrounding areas. The fabulous work of the charity means that patients can enjoy the best possible quality of life and their care extends to support families and carers. Signs Express (York) has been privileged to work with the Hospice over the years and has worked with them on all aspects of their visual identity.

Some of the work which the team have been involved with include;

The charity relies heavily on the generosity of the public to help raise in excess of £5 million that it costs each year to run St Leonard’s Hospice. This equates to £574 for every hour of every day. Although St Leonard’s does get some public funding most of the running costs have to be raised from donations and fundraising by the local community; businesses, groups and individuals. Part of this income is generated via the hospice’s retail outlets, of which there are now thirteen.
