Good bye city life, hello Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis
Signs Express (Glasgow) production manager Robert Murtagh and five friends are
undertaking a mammoth challenge by climbing three peaks in three days in aid of the
Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund. From the 24-26 May 2013, they will attempt to climb Snowdon, Scafell Pike and finally the big one, Ben Nevis. Over the course of these three days, they will also be braving the elements, camping and missing Wi-Fi all for a good cause. The Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund (PCRF) is a new, dynamic charity dedicated to defeating the disease through cutting-edge research into early detection and new treatments. 40 years ago 3% of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer survived five years or more. Today, that figure is still sitting at 3%. More research is needed to fight this devastating disease and to do so, PCRF needs more funds. Robert, Stevie, Alan, Jim, Tony and Peter have already collected £590 and need £410 to reach their £1000 target so go on, get involved! Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
