Dave Parsons, a long-time collaborator with Signs Express Manchester and now a trustee for the Greater Manchester Blood Bikes Charity, reached out to us with a special request. After working together nearly 20 years during his time with the British Cycling team, Dave approached us to support the charity by branding two donated tanker trailers. These trailers, travelling across the UK, would serve as moving billboards to raise awareness for the Greater Manchester Blood Bikes, a charity that relies heavily on volunteer support to deliver urgent blood supplies. This project was required with a super quick turnaround to meet the charity’s immediate needs.

Our Solution
Understanding the urgency and importance of the project, our team at Signs Express Manchester delivered a swift and efficient solution. We provided the necessary artwork and graphics in a remarkably quick turnaround, ensuring that the tankers were ready to hit the road on schedule. The graphics were designed and manufactured to meet the charity’s needs, with a focus on delivering maximum impact as the tankers travelled across the country.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Our team was primarily responsible for:
- Artwork and Design: We received the charity’s logo and quickly developed artwork designs for the rear of the tankers. These were promptly sent to the client for approval.
- Manufacture and Installation: After approval, we moved into production and installation. Despite challenges, including installation delays and a tight window to apply the graphics, we managed to execute the project on time.
Challenges & Solutions
One of the primary challenges was coordinating the installation of the graphics on the tankers, given the limited availability of the vehicles. Our team had to be extremely flexible and adaptive, working within a narrow timeframe to ensure the graphics were applied without compromising on quality. Through careful planning and a dedicated effort working with Dave, we overcame these challenges and successfully completed the project.
