Made to Measure Sign for Merit: SX Newcastle x Smith Trade Signage

Merit are disrupting the construction industry with their offsite manufactured products, using advanced technologies to innovate and build better buildings. They specialise in building technically complex buildings offsite in their factory with digitalised manufacturing, reducing the lead time by around two thirds.

To call attention to their Cramlington-based factory, Merit needed a large exterior sign featuring their logo within a specific budget. The factory is one of Europe’s largest offsite manufacturing facilities at 314,000sqft that serves as a home for their ‘Design and Manufacture’ approach –so the customer wanted to highlight its presence on the industrial estate where it’s located.

Despite the challenges of this project, we’re delighted Merit’s factory now boasts a high-quality, impactful sign that achieves their desired outcomes. Thanks in part to our partnership with trade signage suppliers Smith Trade Signage, the sign, elevated 20 metres up on the face of the building, calls attention from across the industrial estate and raises the profile of the business within the local community.
